I have been terribly absent. This all started from two Fridays ago when I embarked on my stag “do”, otherwise known as a bachelor party over here in these them parts.
It started off pretty quiet – there were about 10 of us at my place – BBQ going and beers flowing. Very subdued, but definitely an air of “we’re on a drinking mission” all round. Then we head to Casey Moran’s for the start of things going south side. Beer warms us up and then Dan as usual suggests Jaeger Bombs – 4 of them each – followed by several bizarro shots for me. Next stop The Matchbox.
Well a few of us shared a cab, including one of my future bro in laws, who totally loses it in the cab and starts freaking out – I end up putting him in a head lock to stop him hitting me. Get out cab, all act as if nothing happened. From there the drinking really starts with Margaritas a go-go. My last vivid memoy was drinking one out of the cocktail shaker. Next memory waking up at 10am in my own bed half nekkid.
What transpires is that we went from there to the Twisted Spoke and on the way I hurled. That’s a 14 year record broken. I don’t have much detail about that bar except myself and Rach’s brother ended up wrestling on the floor. Somehow we went from there (and my apparently perplexed looks on how to enter a taxi) back to my place where i threw up again and then passed out. What a rock star!
It took until Thursday when i started to feel normal again. This was helped along by drinking one beer (that’s all i could take).
So you’ll excuse the little break.
This last weekend Rach and I went to the Halsted Festival – otherwise known as The Festival of Fags, Hags and Lezzers by the politically correct amongst you. It was quite poor really – not many good bands on (no lezzer rock or owt) and the stalls were just regular food and drink. Lots of Daffyd Thomas’s around though.
During the week I was on my way to Macy’s (well actually it was Lush, which is in Macy’s) and some dude stood in the way.
“Can I speak to you for a second?”
“Sure – I believe that was roughly a second”
Cue stare of “Processing…. please wait”
